Hey, Justin, I think you were writing about this before. Do you want to do it? They have a whole deal set up. We could write a 50,000 word book in the month of November.
Do we all want to do this? (Esther, don't answer that question)
At least read through this list and either decide yes or no.
Comments:
NaNoWriMo is awesome! It'd be really fun to do as a group... Too bad the food drive is in November *sigh* I've been so tempted to do Nano for the last three years....
That was a pretty big BUT, Jen. I've been dancing on this line for a while, whether to go ahead and do it in what will potentially be my busiest month of the year or wait to do it some other time.
I'm leaning toward the insane sleeplessness of 50k. Whew. I'll be getting a laptop this month, so that will help.
Wow. This is my longest comment ever.

Yay yay yay! Let's just do it. Why wait? Do it now! What's the very worst that could happen? We write poorly, or not at all. And the best? We could write a book. Even if it's not a good book. Even if nobody likes to read it. Even if...
if....
if....
I would strongly suggest reading the Book on NaNoWriMo's website, No Plot, No Problem! It would definitely be a good prep & help through the ordeal.
I am pleased to report that I have now purchased No Plot? No Problem! from Amazon.com.
Is this going to be hard?
Is this going to be hard?
I think I fixed my picture.
Yes, this is going to be excruciatingly difficult, Timothy. And very rewarding. You will lose a lot of sleep, probably gain some weight, and have a lot of fun.

LOL!
and the BUT was there because I am currently required to read a minimum of three books a week and a very large paper due in november....y...e....s i know. excuses, excuses. Can I just write a little here and there? like add footnotes or something?

Justin! We're using each other's name a lot! :)
My blog is... sleeping? Living in a great big white haze? Not too sure, but I've sent blogger an email of complaint. Hope it's not lost forever.

Yes, Jennifer! DO!
Tim, I hope they find your blog. The idea of looking for your lost blog creates a very interesting anthropomorphism that might be a great idea for your novel, though. Have you put up any reward posters? Er... posts.

Jen. Click on the kitty. Stare into its placid yet electric green eyes and repeat slowly, "Writing a book is a good idea. School work can wait."
We're each writing our very own first rough draft. Worst case scenario: we quit after 1,000 words. Best case scenario: it's something worth editing and submitting to a publisher. ABSOLUTE best case scenario: it gets published. (I'm not counting on it, though.)
